That blue anodizing would come off with a little oven cleaner. Just spray, let it sit a minute and it comes right off.....or like you said,it's fairly hidden. Hope this one turns out good for ya.

IMO, it was starved of oil. I've learned from various youtube channels that it's very hard to keep oil supplied when in high RPMs with stock oil pans. I remember when Cleetus filled Leroy 2 quarts over with the stock C5 pan and still had oil starvation. Need a bigger pan with baffles

You don't need 4 link. That thing'll run bottoms 8's in the 1/4 on stock leafs

Thank you for sharing on this, you are right! I agree with you. I'm a electrical contractor with a 2011 Sprinter van, been trying to get to pass emission in CT with all the equipment still there! I want to do the right thing, but the money and hours I have spent, is difficult to justify being in business to make a profit! I also have an older 2005 Freightliner Step Van MB engine, I think just EGR, No DEF. Some problems but not as bad as Sprinter. Also have a 2002 Bluebird bus making into a camper, Cummins 5.9, No probs so far. Just bought a 2011 Freightliner Step Van that has DEF, we'll see how this works out, still working on registering in CT. I still have a 1979 Chev Grumman Step van, No emissions testing-too old, with a Chev gas 350. [It need a lot of work] but it may be worth refurbing than dealing with all this cost of trying to drive a clean veh. I love the idea of fresh air, but you are right, their are a lot of ramifications before you even start on the vehicle. What can we do! God bless!
